BUILDING UPON EXPERIENCE

For many years, dedicated community members and individuals from multiple Western Slope organizations have provided assistance and shelter to those that often find themselves without the basic necessities.

Out of this was born Housing El Dorado.

Creating an organization

The El Dorado Community Foundation has assisted in creating a structured approach to the overall goals of Housing El Dorado. These goals include conducting a housing survey for the Western Slope, identification of available funding, organizational development, communications and planning.

Housing El Dorado partners with EDOK and

other partners on the Continuum of Care

El Dorado Haven is a new affordable housing community serving low-income families, veterans, and individuals with disabilities. Developed by Mercy Housing California, the project will offer a mix of apartment sizes, on-site community spaces, and supportive services. Residents are expected to move-in as early as Spring 2026.
